As part of its commitment to safety and preparedness, Hotel Neo Gajah Mada Pontianak recently held an internal fire drill training session for all staff and trainees at the Pontianak City Parking Building. This training aimed to ensure that the hotel team is equipped with the necessary skills to respond efficiently and safely in the event of a fire emergency.

The event, conducted on February, 25 2025, featured comprehensive training on essential fire safety measures, including proper use of fire extinguishers (APAR), techniques for extinguishing flames, and evacuation procedures. Under the guidance of a professional fire safety instructor, all participants were given hands-on experience, learning how to operate fire extinguishers and effectively handle a fire situation.

“Our priority is the safety and well-being of both our guests and our staff,” said Exsan, General Manager of Hotel Neo Gajah Mada Pontianak. “This fire drill training ensures that our entire team, including trainees, is fully prepared to respond to any emergency. It’s an essential part of maintaining a secure and safe environment in the hotel and beyond.”

The training also emphasized teamwork and coordination, with all participants becoming familiar with evacuation routes, assembly points, and the hotel’s emergency procedures. Held in a real-world setting like the Pontianak City Parking Building, the fire drill gave all staff and trainees the practical experience needed to act quickly and efficiently in an emergency.

Hotel Neo Gajah Mada Pontianak remains fully committed to maintaining the highest safety standards, ensuring peace of mind for both guests and staff during their stay or work at the hotel.
