In celebration of Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day, the entire staff of Hotel Neo Pontianak held a flag-raising ceremony with a unique theme, wearing traditional attire from various regions of Indonesia. The ceremony took place on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in the hotel’s main courtyard and was attended by management and all staff members.

The event began at 7:00 AM with the raising of the Indonesian flag by the internal flag-raising team. All participants wore traditional clothing representing the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia, adding vibrancy and a strong patriotic atmosphere to the ceremony. General Manager of Hotel Neo Pontianak, Mr. Exsan, led the ceremony and read the Proclamation of Independence.

In his remarks, Mr. Exsan emphasized the importance of valuing Indonesia’s cultural diversity and maintaining unity in the face of everyday challenges. He also expressed his hope that the spirit of the nation's struggle would continue to inspire all staff to provide the best service to guests.

"This ceremony, with the theme of traditional attire, is not only a symbol of celebration but also a reminder of our rich cultural heritage that we must continue to preserve and take pride in," said Mr. Exsan.
