The vibrant archipelago of Indonesia proudly commemorated its 78th Independence Day on August 17, 2023. This momentous occasion serves as a reminder of the relentless spirit and unwavering determination of the Indonesian people in their journey towards freedom and self-determination.

On August 17, 1945, Indonesia boldly declared its independence from colonial rule, setting the stage for a new era of sovereignty, unity, and cultural richness. The theme for this year's celebrations, 'Harmony in Diversity: Upholding Our Unity,' underscores Indonesia's commitment to preserving its unity amidst the myriad of cultures, languages, and traditions that characterize the nation. The theme serves as a tribute to the harmonious coexistence of various ethnicities and faiths under the Indonesian flag.

As part of the commemorative activities, the flag-raising ceremony was held across the nation, with citizens from all walks of life coming together to honor the Indonesian flag and its symbolism of unity and independence. In addition to the ceremonies, cultural festivals, art exhibitions, and traditional performances showcased the rich cultural mosaic that makes Indonesia unique on the global stage.

In commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day, Neo+ Kuta Legian held fun staff games. To build good teamwork and spirit across each department, they chose staff randomly and formed 4 teams. Each team made creative yells according to their team's agreement. That was followed with games of bringing marbles, putting nails in bottles, and much more.

On Independence Day, the staff raised the flag at 7.00am. Although constrained by the rainy weather, it did not dampen the intention to carry out the flag ceremony which was held in the meeting room.
